MJ Cafe has always been a stable and reliable boba shop and cafe through the years. They have a wide assortment of almost any combination of fruit, tea and boba you can think of.
I've been coming here for years like most reviewers here. I usually get a honey lemon green tea, beef noodle soup and some popcorn chicken. It never disappoints!
Don't forget to check in for 10% off any drink -

so grosss! halfway drinking my brown sugar milk tea, a green onion went up my straw! i thought it was jelly, but it was hard and nasty tasting. definitely not what I expected. i wanted to throw up. they need to clean out the cups more thoroughly!!! such a shame. the drink was good, but finding this just made me gag, and i didn't finish the rest
our server was nice enough to not charge me though -

Dont really know what happened with MJ Cafe but it used to be THE spot a few years back. Something new I noticed was a soup buffet that's free if you get a meal.. I personally didn't get anything from the soup buffet because I was already ordering soup for my entree, but since I was sitting in the patio I saw through the glass some fryers set up and other pots on the side. The thing that kind of grossed me out was the fact that the soup condiments (i.e fried tofu etc) were just sitting in that fryer filled with oil. I think thats kind of .. nasty and makes me question the freshness of their food. As for service, the wait staff are a bunch of high schoolers so don't expect the service to be all great. For instance, flagging down waiters to let them know you're ready to order, not including sauces that come with your meal when I guess its 'self serve' now? Why ask me what sauce I want if you're not even going to include it?
The good thing about my visit was the drink I ordered. -

This place has a lot of different kinds of tea and boba drinks! Their boba drinks the xl size can feed about 2 ppl. They also have hot pot, sizzling steaks, and sandwiches! They have their traditional tea snacks too! Recently they added if ordered a entree, you can have all you can have soup!

Ordered Cream Soup and Beef tong rice.
Found a bug in my soup. Beef Tong rice is good, but the side dishes are tasteless... either too salty or too mushy.
